Educational Objective

To provide the GME learner with clinical experience in a rural, full scope, OBGYN practice.

Experiences and Procedures

  • Our practice, which consists (currently) of 4 OBGYN physicians and 1 Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), is committed to providing evidenced based quality care; advancing education of health care providers including residents and medical students. 
  • We will provide multiple surgical opportunities each week in addition to a resident based outpatient schedule which would include: contraception management, gynecological consultation and obstetrical care. 
  • The resident would be required to participate in a department-wide weekly discussion of high risk obstetrical patients. 
  • The on call requirement would be 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month, within the ACGME requirements.

Housing

On-site housing is offered at no cost to the learner at the Dixon House, when space is available. If space is not available at the Dixon House, then the resident may request funds from MERGE to reimburse for housing in Farmington, per the MERGE housing policy.
