Pre-requisite: Cardiology fellows, Family Medicine Residents, IM Residents, IM-Peds Residents, PGY2 and above

Duration for Elective: 2 or 4 weeks

Educational Objective

The goal of the ambulatory cardiology rotation is to provide residents with training in both consultative and longitudinal care for patients with a variety of cardiovascular and associated conditions. Through these experiences, residents will understand the unique challenges related to practicing outside of the greater Portland area including patient access to care and resources. 

Experiences and Procedures

  • Outpatient cardiology visits at MMP/MaineHealth cardiology offices in Lewiston and/or Augusta 
  • Review of cardiac imaging, EKGs, and stress testing 
  • Inpatient consultation opportunities available

Housing
